About Us

North Fulton ARES® cooperates with local Emergency Management Agencies, Emergency Operations Centers, hospitals and other public service agencies needing assistance during a disaster. Currently, we maintain communications links with the Atlanta Fulton County Emergency Management Agency, Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, Alpharetta AFES Citizen Corps and the Atlanta-Fulton County Metropolitan Medical Response System. The organization also serves as the Skywarn spotter network for the North Fulton area, including Roswell and Alpharetta.

* The NFARES repeaters will not use CTCSS squelch tones. IN EMERGENCIES, the NET CONTROL OPERATOR will transmit with a tone of 203.5 Hz. If you wish to monitor the frequency and not be bothered with the regular chatter, you can set your receive tone coded squelch to that tone frequency. Never transmit with that tone.
