What a great marathon today!!

I just have to say that I had a blast working the Georgia Publix Marathon today. What a fun event! And watching a marathoner who had just finished running 26 miles stop for an on-camera interview and not even be winded ... well, that reminds me just how out of shape I am !!

We even saw a 79-year-old man who just completed his 100th marathon! What an awesome accomplishment!

By my count, there were six hams from NFARES / NFARL who volunteered their time and talents today. Some worked at Aid Stations on the course, others worked in Centennial Olympic Park downtown. In all, nearly 50 hams from across metro Atlanta came together in support of one of the largest Public Service Events in our area.

Every time I work one of these things, it inspires me to work the next one!
