It's that time of year again! Please consider volunteering again for the Publix Georgia Marathon on St. Paddy's Day. This is the largest public service event of the year for DeKalb ARES, requiring almost five dozen Ham Radio Operators, so please forward this message to any hams you think may be interested and available to assist.

January 2013 NFARES Meeting

This is a reminder of the North Fulton Amateur Radio Emergency Service meeting that will be held on Tuesday evening, January 8th at the Brandon Hall School. The school is located at 1700 Brandon Hall Drive off Spalding Road in Sandy Springs, GA.

Our featured presentation will be by John WB4QDX, EC Gwinnett. He will talk about using D-Rats for digital communications. D-Rats has form handling much like what we saw with fldigi / flmsg.

2012 SET (Simulated Emergency Test) Sunday, October 14, 2012, 3-6PM

NFARL / NFARES 2012 SET

Our 2012 SET (Simulated Emergency Test) is scheduled for Sunday, October 14, 2012, 3:00-6:00 PM. The drill will be our response to a simulated (hopefully not real) tornado.

We sure would like to have you join us this year. All hams are welcome. You don't need to be an ARES member or be experienced in emergency communications. A special welcome goes out to newly licensed hams!
